About Us
We have operated as a caterer in Western Australia for over 15 years. Our headquarters are located in O'Connor. We own two operational facilities outright which houses our commercial kitchen and is used to conduct the ‘back of house’ portion of our business. The nature of this establishment allows us to expand into current and future growth markets in order to provide our clients with a greater range of products and services.
We currently employ 120 full, part-time and casual staff which includes 11 full-time administrators and kitchen staff including 2 full-time chefs. The balance of the other 109 staff members, are catering staff which include a number of fully qualified chefs plus experienced and licensed wait staff who have completed their Responsible Service of Alcohol Courses. Our staff have been exposed to the highest level of training and display an exceptional degree of service, highly suitable for all types of assignments
In addition to having RSA qualified staff, we also maintain a Special Facilities License. We are able to cater for and provide a number of liquor packages as and if required to suit any function. We have previously provided many of our customers with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage packages in which we have received plenty of positive feedback.
During our time we have experienced a wide variety of catering assignments. Notably, our achievements have included being the only external caterer used by Perth Racing to supplement their own catering requirements for 6000 guests for four consecutive years, we were also appointed as the exclusive caterer for the Empyrean Function Centre in Northbridge prior to their internalisation of all functions.
We have recently been successful in winning the tender as a caterer of choice for VenuesWest and have done several major boxing events serving 450 for a 2 course seated meal as well as several large concert events consisting of feeding over 300 guests per day for breakfast, lunch and dinner over 4 consecutive days.
The Perth Wildcats continue to employ our services to provide first class gourmet catering, providing exceptional quality finger foods, meals and other gourmet delicacies during their home matches at Challenge Stadium for the corporate boxes and pre and post game functions since 2007.
We have also been successful with tenders to the City of South Perth for the last 4 yrs running , which employs us to provide its catering requirements for a range of functions including but not limited to;
- Council Meeting Dinners
- Casual, Formal & Cocktail Style Civic Functions
- Citizenship Ceremonies
- Community Breakfasts, Light Snacks & Meals
- Formal VIP Dinners
Both Perth Football Club and East Fremantle Football Club used us for a number of years as their preferred caterer for functions held in their function areas including dinners, afternoon teas, luncheons and various fundraisers which frequently feature popular celebrities such as Sam Newman, Kevin Sheedy and former Prime Minister Mr. John Howard plus many local parliamentary dignitaries. Many other venues also use us as their preferred caterers rather than having their own in-house facilities, which continues to stem from satisfied clients promoting our services through positive recommendations.
Other frequent users of our services include Cyclo WA, Alinta Gas, Hopman Cup, ANZ, Australia Post, BHP Billiton, Bunning’s, Cadbury Schweppes, Commonwealth Bank, Edith Cowan University, Fremantle Arts Centre, Fremantle Prison, Harvey Norman, MG Kailis, Murdoch University, NAB, QBE, RAC, St John of God, Telstra, UWA, Water Corporation, Westpac, Woolworths and many more.
We have at our disposal a wide array of portable cooking, warming and cooling equipment in order to enable us to provide an even better quality of service for our clients -- regardless of the function’s locale. We also have a fleet of vehicles to service our customers including a completely mobile catering van.
Additionally, we also have an extensive range of hire equipment available to suit your function’s needs. This includes not only the basic necessities such as crockery, cutlery and glassware, but also includes a premium selection of portable cooking, warming and cooling equipment to make every event successful.
We believe that our success to date has been based upon providing our customers with a service that exceeds their expectations, but at a price which does not exceed their budget. This has also been acknowledged after rewarded runner up for Corporate Caterer of the year at the Restaurant & Catering awards for excellence.
One of the ways that we are able to achieve this objective is through the careful utilisation of economies of scale. We have established strong affiliations with similarly minded catering organisations throughout the other states of Australia. By doing this, we have been provided with the buying power of a much larger organisation with the ability to provide the best value for money at a highly competitive rate.
Community and Charity
WA Venue Catering is happy to be part of a number of community and charity events, where we support local area sporting groups, charities through sponsorships, free catering services, or public awareness and taking part in events. We recently have become part of Manna Industries and the Mont Blanc Project.
